We’re a small team of thoughtful mentors who work closely with students (and their families) every step of the way. We’re here to listen, guide, and help your child reach their full potential.
Will
Co-Founder & CEO
Will graduated from Yale with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in history. He has privately mentored over 45 students. His students have been accepted into every Ivy League university and other top universities, including Stanford, MIT, and West Point. He was also a two-time instructor at Yale Young Global Scholars, where he taught seminars on Hannah Arendt and Leszek Kołakowski. He loves practicing magic and watching old films in his free time.
Madeleine
Co-Founder & COO
Madeleine graduated Yale with a degree in political science. Her experience in mentoring students spans from Yale Young Global Scholars in New Haven, to high schools in rural Panama, to students in São Paulo with Yale Model United Nations. At Yale, she debates with the Yale Political Union, volunteers with the Yale Community Kitchen, and conducts research at the Yale Institution for Social and Policy Studies. In her free time, she loves to sew and play video games.
Rohan
CFO
Rohan graduated from Yale University with a degree in Global Affairs in 2024. Across his work, Rohan has supported students with college applications, essay development, and scholarship strategy, drawing on firsthand experience navigating highly selective admissions processes. He plans to attend Yale Law School in the fall, where he intends to pursue a career in public interest law. Rohan also served as Senior Admissions Interviewer for the Yale University Undergraduate Admissions Office, conducting and evaluating applicant interviews and authoring detailed assessment reports to inform admissions decisions.

Talia
Humanities, Princeton and Yale
Talia Namdar-Cohen is a senior at Yale University majoring in Humanities. She transferred from Princeton University, where she was a reporter for Business Today, Princeton’s business journal, and a member of the Fashion Institute of Princeton. At Yale, she is a member of the Philosophy Debate Society, The Conservative Party, and a chef in Yale’s student-run restaurant. She is also the co-founder of Saqin, an events company that has organized gatherings ranging from 400+ student events to intimate dinners with the Yale School of Management. Outside of the classroom, she loves to write fiction, study Iranian history, cook, and spend time with family and friends.

Owen
History & Grand Strategy, Yale
Owen Hathaway Hacker graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in history. At Yale, he was a member of the 2025 cohort of the Brady-Johnson program in Grand Strategy and a Millstone Fellow in the Institution for Social and Policy Studies. He was an undergraduate editor with the Yale Law Journal and a research assistant for Yale Law professor John Witt. Outside of the classroom, he was the captain of Yale’s ultimate frisbee team and worked as a barista at Yale’s student-run café, the Acorn.

Cody
[Former Lux Student] Computer Science & Entrepreneurship, Dartmouth
Cody Kletter was a former Lux student (see our testimonial page!) and is currently a student at Dartmouth studying computer science and mathematics. At Dartmouth, Cody is a fellow at the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship. He’s also a member of the Brovertones a cappella group and the club soccer team. As student body president of his high school, Menlo School, Cody created a school-wide House System to promote inter-grade bonding and school spirit, a tradition that continues today. Cody also founded the NorCal High School Chess Association to address the lack of chess competition among high schools in the Bay Area. Cody has also gained hands-on experience across technology, education, and finance—interning at Swimply.com, Curious Cardinals, Cambridge Associates, and recently, as the lead AI engineer for GovGPT, pitching with the team at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. In his free time, Cody enjoys playing chess, surfing, singing, and spending time in the Dartmouth outdoors.

Dinesh
Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry and Applied Math, Yale.
Dinesh graduated from Yale with a dual degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and Applied Math, summa cum laude. He is currently pursuing an MPH in Biostatistics at the Yale School of Public Health. He is interested in statistical and mathematical modeling of infectious diseases and the effects of healthcare literacy and scientific communication on healthcare outcomes. He worked as a student researcher in the Townsend Lab at the Yale School of Public Health. At Yale, Dinesh served as co-president of the Yale Undergraduate Research Association and was the former editor-in-chief of the Yale Global Health Review. In his free time, Dinesh enjoys Taekwondo, bookbinding, and watching Indian movies.

Grace
[Former Lux Student] History & Government, Harvard
Grace Rhee was a former Lux student, and is currently a student at Harvard concentrating in History and Government, with a secondary in History of Art & Architecture. At Harvard, Grace writes for the Crimson and volunteers for the Phillips Brooks House Association. She also works for the Harvard Korea Institute.
Throughout Grace’s high school career, she was active within her high school community, serving as student body president of an 800-student class, and leading her school’s mentor program as Big Sibs, and as an events leader for the national honor society, ARISTA. Outside of high school, she ran a volunteering program for her four years at her local food pantry, founding NYC Teens for 9 Million Reasons. Grace has also developed and explored her interest in the arts and museums, having interned at local museums like the Whitney Museum and the New York Historical Society over her summers, and writing for the arts department of her school’s newspaper. During her free time, Grace enjoys learning about history, playing spikeball with friends, and biking around Boston and New York.

Josephine
[Former Lux Student] Statistics & Global Health, Harvard
Josephine Yoo is a former Lux student and current student at Harvard University, where she is concentrating in Statistics with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy on the pre-med track. At Harvard, she is involved in the College Piano Society, Undergraduate Global Research and Consulting, Undergraduate Women in Medicine, Organization of Asian American Sisters in Service, and Club Swimming.
In high school, Josephine served as student body co-president of a student body of over 800 students, founded and led a music outreach organization, and represented New York City at the New York State Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships. Outside of school, Josephine launched a nationwide fundraising initiative supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). She also co-authored a paper published in the Journal of Student Research and an abstract published in the Journal of Sickle Cell Disease (Oxford University Press). In her free time, Josephine enjoys discovering new restaurants and reviewing them on Beli, listening to music, reading Kurt Vonnegut, and running.
